It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything personal on here. Mostly because I haven’t taken my ‘real’ camera with us on our recent adventures. One of this year’s resolutions is to be more professional about capturing our own family memories. And this month was a perfect opportunity to put that to good use!! We just came back from a fun trip visiting friends in Austin that morphed into a road trip exploring out other states nearby. Since I have this thing about road trips and seeing as many states as humanly possible in one life time, I somehow added to our original plan. The kiddos got the chance to add Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma to the list of states they’ve visited. And thankfully, the weather held even though it was super cold at times. And like any good adventure, there were crazy moments as well– a gushing bloody nose, a cold, and the stomach bug are included in our story. But in the end, it was all worth it. We made some fabulous memories and built more into our family’s history.
Some favorites for me were the Lake Catherine State Park cabin for lodging and hiking trail, Hot Springs National Park, Siloam Springs adorable downtown, University of Arkansas’s Hammertree Grilled Cheese, and Dallas’s skyline. Enjoy some highlights of our TexArMoKanOK trip as we begin to scheme our next trip on the road!
