Another beautiful birth photography bay area story occurred earlier this month. Or really, it’s a Bay Area and North Dakota story. This sweet family is from North Dakota, but Dad was deployed during the summer. So, pregnant Mama and her first son drove all the way out to California to be near family during that time as well as give birth out here. This was certainly the first time I was hired from so far away! But the most amazing part of this story is that Dad made it to the birth. He was able to come home just in time and spent more than a full day traveling just to get back. He arrived in early evening and little Jack arrived at 2:46am!!
And it was a beautiful event. Mom was induced at 9am that morning and ever-so-slowly worked up to 5 cm around 11pm when I arrived. Then jumped to 10 within the next 3 hours or so. Less than 30 minutes of preparing, grabbing the doctor and pushing then he was here! A perfect 9 pound 6 ounces baby boy. It was such a privilege to be invited into their birth space and to witness the ever sweet reunion after six long month apart. This family is already back home and hopefully starting to settle into being a family four! Enjoy their story’s highlights as seen below!
